It's an amazing free program that lets you record screen captures, multiple audio sources, etc. The second reason being, without dedicated hardware like an audio interface with a loop-back feature, it's annoying, finnicky, and often unreliable to split out multiple audio sources into a DAW, especially if you're new to it. Someone who uses Audacity, particularly the newer versions, please correct me if I'm wrong there. I'd pivot away from audacity in this case for a couple reasons, mainly because I don't think there's an easy way to do that without using some external tools in addition.
